About Barry Bailey
I am an award winning fine art landscape photographer based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. My prints are in private as well as commercial collections nationally.
I presently serve on the Board of Directors for the Center for Fine Art Photography (www.c4fap.org) which is one of the premier international organizations whose sole purpose is the promotion of photography as an art form. As a director on the C4FAP Board, I am privileged to witness some of the very best fine art photography in the world. It is truly an inspiring experience and it motivates me to do my very best work every day.
I was introduced to photography in 1970 by my Father who was a portrait photographer and I have been photographing ever since. Photography is my passion.… It fills my soul with a feeling of fulfillment like nothing else.
A photograph can just be a two dimensional image absent of emotion, but photography when it truly engages the viewer can convey so much more. When I capture a photograph, I try to go beyond stimulating the visual senses. I try to stay “present in the moment” so I am aware of everything that is going on around me. This awareness allows me to better create a final print that is all encompassing and represents faithfully the experience of the “moment of capture.”
I am an accomplished large format “Master Printer” so I have complete control over every aspect of my artwork from capture to the final print. If the print doesn’t meet my standard of excellence, it either gets reprinted or it will not be offered for sale. I am tough on myself but I feel I owe it to my collectors to give them the best work possible….
