On August 21 2017 we had the first total solar eclipse in the continental US since 1918. I traveled to Douglas Wyoming to photograph and video the once in a lifetime event. Below is a high resolution video I shot starting at
11:33AM MST and ending at ended at 11:46AM MST. The peak of the eclipse, where there was total darkness, occurred at 11:42AM MST. The sky remained lit because you are viewing an area out of the rapidly moving shadow cast by the occlusion of the Sun's light by the Moon as it crossed paths with the Sun.
